We were trying to get Kira to put up a finger so we would equal 2 and also 22. I just love sharing my birthday with her!

We were showing the camera our cakes! By the way Renae made Kira's Tinkerbell cake. She should go professional. I am jealous!

Wow Mom actually caught her smiling! Happy Day!

Women's Conference! May 2009

This year me and Mom were able to attend the Women's Conference held at BYU. The biggest reason we went was because Aunt Marsha was going to be one of the speakers, so we went up for the Friday session. It was so fun to be up there with all the aunts and the Beck family to share that experiance with them and with other women from all over.

Aunt Marsha did an amazing job. She spoke on "Children of the Promised Day," along with Sister Christensen from the Primary General Board. The spirit that was felt from hearing her words and the words of others who spoke was great. Since Friday was the last day, Elder Perry was the concluding speaker to the whole conference, me and Mom really enjoyed his talk. He talked a lot on strengthening the image of the Lord. He showed a clip of interviews of who people thought Mormons were or what our beliefs are, and to my amazement there were many who either had no clue, or had a distorted view of our beliefs. So he said we as members need to know the doctrine so that we can answer questions effectively, we need to live the standards of the Church, to be an example to all those around us. It was just a great talk.

It was a great day of spiritual instruction and learning and it was even better since we were able to share it with those we love. I truly wish that all of us girls could take a day and go together, how fun and how wonderful an exeperiance it would be.

A couple of weeks ago me, mom , and dad took a suprise trip up to visit everyone in Idaho. It was quite a short trip, but always worth it to see family! While we were there visiting we were able to go to Shoshone Falls! So here are some pics from that visit.

Thanksgiving 08

So these pictures are a little out of order, but hey you get the general jist of how things happened!
This Thanksgiving was definitely a different one, but was also a great and memorable one also. It was only me, Mom, and Dad! So Dad had surgery a couple of days before Thanksgiving which is why we had dinner in the living room! It was quite fun! That morning me and Mom set out to working on making this Thanksgiving dinner the best! We quickly put the turkey in after asking Dad a bazillion questions on how to properly prepare the turkey, and then each went our own way, me doing the rolls and mom doing pies and yams! Who said Thanksgiving dinner had to be stressful! It was great we were able to talk and reminisce of good ol' times in preivous years. After much hard work, we created a masterpiece! THANKSGIVING DINNER! It was a great day with lots of food. Man you would think we were feeding the world. We had tons of left-overs! It was good though to be able to sit down with mom and dad and enjoy their company! I am sure it will be a memorable one for all of us... but especially Dad. He was such a trooper through out his surgery, and I hope he knows how grateful we all are for his sacrifice for the family over the years and for his hard work to support us! We love you Dad!
We have been so blessed this year (2008)! We are grateful for the relationships we have with family, friends, and for our love for each other and are ever grateful for the Savior, for his great example and his selfless love!

Mom and Dad before the great feast!

Me being me, always taking pictures of myself!

I had to get a picture of mom with her tootsie roll apron!

And of course I had to take a picture of my amazing rolls! HAHA They turned out fabulous!
